Merger Enables Portland Metro-Based Paving Company to Provide Full Range of Excavation and Soil Remediation Services, Bolstering its Focus on Sustainable Blacktop Construction
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tigard, OR – Aug. 5, 2020 – Coast Pavement Services today announced it has acquired Sandy, Oregon-based Pacific Earth, according to Coast president Ken VanDomelen.
“Bringing Pacific Earth’s sophisticated excavation services on board will enable us to serve clients in a much broader way,” VanDomelen said. “And Pacific’s environmental focus is in line with ours.”
Pacific’s founder, Rick Martin, will stay on after the merger to manage the new division of Coast. Pacific has built a strong reputation for tackling challenging excavation projects, including soil remediation. The company has significant experience in commercial construction projects, such as service stations, parking lots, and in road and infrastructure excavation for housing developments.
“We have worked with Pacific on niche projects in the past,” VanDomelen said. “Particularly attractive to us is Pacific’s environmentally focused excavation, including stormwater services and soil remediation such as oil and gas tank removal.”
